Welcome to Latin Teacher Toolbox. This site is a resource hub for Latinists, or other language teachers, interested in building real, unconscious Latin reading skills among their students. That's what "acquisition" means for me. Failing that, it's for teachers who want a more inclusive, kinder, gentler kind of Latin teaching that is open to ALL students, and not just the elite.
As I have explored comprehensible input and "active" Latin and all those sorts of thing, I found that there were TONS of great resources out there. It's taken me two years to find a lot of them, however, and I still find more every day. My goal for this site is to make it a place you can go when you're wondering how to do X, and then boom! Here are six great links about how to do X.
This site is also a place to house all the various projects I've been part of.

- Mille Noctes: an easily searchable database of texts for beginning to intermediate Latin students, created by teachers and maintained by an amazing team of volunteers. It's now also got databases of acquisition-oriented activities, teaching techniques, and teacher-created materials.
- Cloelia, puella Romana: a late beginning to intermediate level Latin novella that tells stories from early Rome from a young heroine's point of view.
- Latine loquamur!: A biweekly, casual Latin chat held on Google Hangouts for people who want to practice their Latin speaking proficiency, or just listen to others doing so. (I started this in 2016, but it has now moved on to new, awesome hosts!)
- Locutiones: I started a crowd-sourced list of things that are useful when speaking Latin. Eventually maybe I'll make this a proper page on the site. It's full of great stuff but can be a little overwhelming.
- Latin Toolbox: My blog, which may one day migrate here, but has not yet. It's mostly reflections on being a beginning CI-oriented teacher and how things are going. People seem to appreciate my, uh, honesty about the challenges I've faced and how it feels. Sometimes I post new activities and stuff too.
- Teaching Latin for Acquisition: An amazing Facebook group and kind of a "professional learning community" for support, ideas, and general awesomeness. I started it but it's grown beyond my wildest imaginings. Since it's on Facebook, it's obviously not here, but a lot of neat stuff that happens there will end up linked or housed here eventually.
- My YouTube Channel: I keep various playlists of Latin-related things on YouTube, including a few things I've made.
